Google Analytics Tracking code insertion?
I’m operating a zencart template website and the google analytics is working fine on the main page. Now we have recently created landing pages which I figured we need a new GA profile per each landing page we create.. but for some reason the tracking code doesn’t seem to install properly and it does not work.
Can anyone think of why I am encountering this issue?
I included the tracking code into "tpl_main_page.php" which should cover for the entire website for the zencart template… Unless I’m mistaken. Do I still need to place the tracking code per page? I can see why the landing page needs them per page because that’s a completely different page.
I have a solution, and I will assume the following:
- The landing pages are for PPC or banners on other web sites
- You are using Google Analytics.
if both are true, you can "flag" the link to the landing pages.

now, on all your web pages (including the landing pages) you need the regular Google analytics code.

I use TrackMySiteOnline.com to track my website, its free and works very well with all my sites. it also give more details in tracking than Google Analytics
